LOOKING BACK
1. Can you see an improvement on your level of English in the past year/s? Where, for example?
2. Which activity best shows your level of English?
3. Which activities were really USEFUL for you to improve your English? Why?
4. Which activities did you NOT find useful to learn English? Why not?
5. Which activities would like to do again next year to keep on improving your English?
1. Yes, because this year i've learned more stuff and i know more how to write in english and express myself via oral and writing. But the exams have been worse than before because is more difficult but i'm not disappointed with the results at all.
2. The Blog because there i can express myself better than on the exams.
3. Watching series in english class with spanish subtitles because we can hear the series in english and listen how they speak and understanding it because we read the spanish translation.
4. The Grammar Book because we did it on our own and sometimes we didn't know the meanings or didn't understand everything at all. It is useful but there are other activities that can be more useful.
5. Listening to songs in english and translate them or filling some gaps of the song in a sheet.

Gap Year
GAP YEAR
Once i finish baccalaurate I want to travel the world. My goal is to become a good journalist, and to reach that, first I need to get experience on the job. So first thing first, I will go get a job so i can earn money to travel later.
My plan is to work for about 4 months and then go to England to improve my english. After that I will talk to my uncle so he can help me with the journalism because he is a very imprtant journalist in Colombia and so is his daughter (my cousin).
So I will stay in England for about 3 months in a house with a family of there and then i'll take a flight right to Colombia to be with my uncle and cousin so i can learn more about journalism.
I don't want to see a Gap Year as a break, i want to see it as time to take profit even though I know that these 2 years will be tough and hard, but at least is worth it.
If I could I would do what I said and more, because a productive person makes the difference and being lazy takes you nowhere.
My say
AUSTRIA
Two months ago, me and a couple of students went to visit Austria as a school trip. We didn't go there just for fun, we did it with our history's teacher to know more about what happened during the WWII, and how the affected people lived back then.
The first day we went to Munich in Germany to see the first concentration camp. I remember how big it was, it didn't seem to be a concentration camp at all because it was so beatiful. There was plenty of nature all around it and amazing green fields. But once you go inside the buildings you realise where you are and what really happened there. The principal room i will never forget is the gas showers, where tones of innocent people died.
The following day we went to Linz, Austria, and we visited the streets. In every street there's a little of history. The guides explained us a lot of interesting things and facts that happened there. Linz is such a beautiful city to live in.
Next, we went to two more concentration camps, and what a saw there left me without words. Those places are so breathtaking, not only because how pretty they are, because how much victims were there and died. Once you visit these places you change completely your mind and the way to see everything.
The last day we visited Vienna, my favorite city so far, and went all around it with a guide who explained us a lot of things.
Making this trip is really worth it, i'm so glad i went there. I wish i can go there in the future on my own so i can see more places and learn more things about it.

DIRECTIONS:
In a small bowl, combine, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar and set aside briefly.
In a 10-inch or 12-inch skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk together cinnamon mixture, eggs, milk, and vanilla and pour into a shallow container such as a pie plate. Dip bread in egg mixture. Fry slices until golden brown, then flip to cook the other side. Serve with syrup.
This is one of my favorite breakfast so far.

London attack: Seven killed in vehicle and stabbing incidents
Seven people have been killed and at least 48 injured in a terror incident in London in which three male attackers were shot dead by police.
A white van hit pedestrians on London Bridge at about 22:00 BST on Saturday, then three men got out and stabbed people in nearby Borough Market. Police said the three men were wearing fake bomb vests.
One of those hurt is a police officer who was stabbed after going to help. His injuries are not life-threatening.
Borough Market is an area known for its bars and restaurants which were busy on a warm summer evening. It is the third terror attack in the UK in three months following the car and knife attack in Westminster in March, which left five people dead, and the Manchester bombing less than two weeks ago, in which 22 people were killed.
MY OPINION: I think that this really needs to end because people is being killed for no reason by other people that is being paid for doing that. Taking peoples lives is unfair and has no pardon.
