Why you should chew gum after a C-section

Chewing gum can trick the body into thinking that the person is eating.  Among the difficult things a woman has to do after having a C-section — from tending to her stitches to learning to breast-feed, now there's a recommendation that's a little easier: chew gum. A new meta-analysis suggests that chewing gum three times a day for 30 minutes each time can help bring back women's normal gut function after a C-section delivery. It gets saliva flowing in the mouth and can help send signals to the gut to start moving again.
In most of the studies, the women were given gum within 2 hours of their delivery, and asked to chew it three times a day for 15 to 30 minutes at a time. The researchers found that, on average, women who chewed gum farted about 6.5 hours sooner than those who were not given gum: Gum chewers experienced their first fart about 23 hours after the operation, compared with non-chewers, who didn't fart until about 29.5 hours after the operation.
MY OPINION: I think that chewing gum is been always a good thing, and after reading this I still keep my thought.

London attack: Seven killed in vehicle and stabbing incidents

Seven people have been killed and at least 48 injured in a terror incident in London in which three male attackers were shot dead by police.
A white van hit pedestrians on London Bridge at about 22:00 BST on Saturday, then three men got out and stabbed people in nearby Borough Market. Police said the three men were wearing fake bomb vests.
One of those hurt is a police officer who was stabbed after going to help. His injuries are not life-threatening.
Borough Market is an area known for its bars and restaurants which were busy on a warm summer evening. It is the third terror attack in the UK in three months following the car and knife attack in Westminster in March, which left five people dead, and the Manchester bombing less than two weeks ago, in which 22 people were killed.

MY OPINION: I think that this really needs to end because people is being killed for no reason by other people that is being paid for doing that. Taking peoples lives is unfair and has no pardon.

The man who built his plane using YouTube videos

Mr Long grew up in  Cambodia he was one of six children of rice farmers, he had never been in an aircraft of any kind.

After seeing a helicopter when he was about six years old, he says, the urge to fly preoccupied his mind - for decades. "I always dreamt about aircraft every night. I always wanted to have my own plane," he says.

At first, it remained nothing more than a dream. Mr Long dropped out of school early and trained as a mechanic, one of the few non-farming professions available to young men without a high school education in his home.

By last year his fascination with flight had taken over and Mr Long, now aged 30 and  decided he had saved enough money to realise his childhood fantasy.

"I started building a plane, making it in secret," he says. "I was afraid that people would make fun of me, so sometimes I worked at night."

The moment of truth came on 8 March. Just before 15:00, Mr Long started the plane's engine. Three people helped to push it to his "runway":  he reached a height of 50 metres and crashing unceremoniously to the ground. Now, he is building a seaplane - also largely from scrap materials - which he believes he can make light enough to take to the skies.

MY OPINION: I think he is doing such a good job with his childhood dream. Also i think he is so smart because not everyone can make a plane only watching Youtube videos, even though it didn't work at all. Where he lives is not easy to make your dreams come true because there isn't enough money and is not well-seen.

Why Putin is world's most powerful man

The power of a head of state is determined both by the country's strength and the capacity he or she has to exercise that power, unilaterally, unconstrained by other institutions, parties and political forces. And combining those two metrics, it's easy to see why Vladimir Putin rises to the top of list.
The entire structure of Russian political power rests on one man.
To understand Putin, you have to understand Russia. The last hundred years for that country have seen the fall of the monarchy, the collapse of democracy, the great depression, World War II with its tens of millions of Russians dead, Stalin's totalitarian brutalities, the collapse of communism, the breakup of the Soviet Union, and Boris Yeltsin's years of chaos and corruption.
Then comes Vladimir Putin, who ushers in stability and, in popular perception, rising standards of living and increasing prominence and respect in the world. That respect is important.
MY OPINION: I agree with this post because Vladimir Putin has showed to the wolrd that he is a very powerful man, and he makes the most difficult desicions of his country.

Teen suicide on the rise amongst Canadian girls

In early 2016, five teenagers from Woodstock, Ontario killed themselves in just as many months, leaving not only their family but the community as a whole bewildered with grief.
Across the country, suicide amongst teen girls and young women is on the rise, while male suicide in the same age group declines, according to data released by Statistics Canada on Thursday.
Health experts have long been concerned with the prevalence of suicide amongst young men. It has been called a "silent epidemic" and for good reason. In 2013, men were three times as likely to kill themselves as women, the latest data shows. Studies indicate that there is a strong link between a history of sexual abuse and suicide attempts.
MY OPINION: I think that people should be more concerned about these news, because these suicides are not normal. Sexual abuse is a problem that has been chasing us for years and we need to stop it before it gets even worse.
